Bipolar Manic Depression Support

* no new registrations at present, please visit MDF The Bipolar Organisation or, from 10th July 2008: Bipolar Chat, an open forum

Are you coping with mood swings from hypomania to mania to depression? Whether you are affected directly by bipolar disorder, also known as manic depression, or you care for someone who is, you will find fellowship and support in our bright, friendly bipolar web community.  We are not professionals, rather 'experts by experience' committed to managing our affective disorders through peer support, medication and self help.

Nobody should have to cope with the disruption of mania and the devastation of bipolar depression alone.  Talking to others who have been there, are there right now, can really help to minimise the impact of manic depression upon your life.  Perhaps you are worried about a friend or yourself, not yet diagnosed but experiencing fluctuations in energy, thought and emotion that feel beyond your control.  Air your concerns in a safe and non-judgmental environment and find out what you can do to take control of such symptoms.

At ChatFest manic depression bipolar disorder is too often not the only mental health problem experienced. Borderline Personality Disorder or traits, substance abuse and anxiety are examples of the other conditions and challenges we provide compassionate, informative support for.

where else can I get support?
